Area 54 - 'Futile Dream' 1997 demo (version 2)

This was on the same tape used on the 8 multitrack recorder directly after the first version, so we must have done it more or less one after the other at Jeremy's dads house, making the most of a piano which had 8 programmed drum beats built in, so we had to just pick the coolest ones and that would have to do. I'm pretty sure there was a button for drum fills haha.

I don't think we had a band name yet, but we definitely hadn't got Glenn Abel (previously of Embodiment) on bass, or Dan foord (Sikth) on drums. It was just 2 best mates having a lot of fun and trying to put something together.

We must have found a bass because Jeremy is bassing like there's no tomorrow on this version!

I still didn't have vocals or lyrics yet.
Again, I hadn't heard this since 1997, so hearing it in 2025 is pretty mental!

I wanted to make sure that every photo used here had Jeremy in it, and I found about 4 more not used in the previous version.

fun fact; this is the first time a bass was put down to anything Area 54 related, so Jeremy is amusingly the first bassist to play on an A54 song!
