Air Pollution Monitoring Equipment Worth ₹16 Lakh Stolen from GSPCB Facility in Mormugao

A theft case has been registered at Mormugao Police Station following a complaint filed by Anthony Miranda, Junior Laboratory Assistant of the Goa State Pollution Control Board.

According to the complaint, between 15 May 2026 at around 9:15 AM and 20 May 2026 at around 10:00 AM, unknown person(s) allegedly broke open the lock of the terrace door at MPA Quarters near Ravindra Bhavan, Baina, Mormugao, and stole five air quality monitoring machines belonging to the Goa State Pollution Control Board.

The stolen equipment includes two Respirable Dust Samplers and three Fine Particulate Samplers, collectively valued at approximately ₹16 lakh.

Mormugao Police have registered the case and further investigation is being carried out by PSI Stanley Gomes of Mormugao Police Station.
