Hideout busted in Heff village of Shopian; 03 arrested |State Input

Acting on a credible input, Police and security forces today launched a cordon & search operation in Heff area of District Shopian.

During the searches in the area, Police recovered incriminating materials including huge quantity of arms and ammunition form the possession of two persons identified as Mohd Shameem Bhat @ Shahid and Zubair Ahmed Padder both residents of Heff Shopian. During the investigations, they revealed about more arms & ammunition dumped in nearby orchards and accordingly police was able to recover arms & ammunition from the nearby orchards.

Officers during the course of investigation also learnt about another individual identified as Bilal Ahmad Teli of Heff and subsequently police recovered arms, ammunition and other incriminating materials from his possession also.

Police during the course of investigation, was able to trace a hideout in the orchards of Heff Village.

All the three persons have been arrested and remain in custody.

As per the investigations, they are linked to proscribed terror outfit HM and were providing support to active terrorist Feroz Dar of HM outfit operating in the area.

Police have registered a case FIR No 08/2020 under relevant sections of law in this regard. Further investigation in the matter is in progress.```
