Street Artists - Part II

This video is a tribute to the Iranian artists whose work is the universal voice of the people longing for peace, freedom, and justice for all. Most of these paintings are embedded with these social issues, where some are just pure work of art.

These artists mostly reside in Iran, but some live in Europe or the U.S. They travel in and out of Iran to participate in international competitions. In the world of Street Art Tehran is among the top 9 cities in the world.

Given the political calamity of Iran, and the fact that quite a few of these artists are internationally recognized they sign their paintings in English using pseudonyms This is so, because they risk imprisonment if caught. Wall painting is illegal in Iran, with the exception of one artist, Mehdi Ghadyanloo, whom the Mayer of Tehran has official sanctioned him to participate in the beautification of the city with his 3D and surrealistic paintings.
