Real-life applications of drones
At Interesting Engineering, we have had the privilege of witnessing drone shows and exhibitions and have covered some of the coolest engineerings of professional drones, but we must admit the funniest part is when we see drones in real-life applications. In this video, we bring you nine such drones that are working hard to achieve real-life tasks.
There’s the high-rise firefighting drone which is a 5G drone that puts out fires in minutes. It rises to 656 ft (200 m) within 30 seconds and can lift 55 lbs (25 kg) of weight.
The TIKAD armed military drone is a remote-controlled drone that could soon replace combat soldiers. It’s equipped with a gun and a grenade launcher and can aim, fire, and absorb weapon recoil.
The EHang 216 air taxi is a two-seater autonomous air taxi. It has a top speed of 80 mph (30 km/h). Amazon Prime Air’s delivery drone aims to deliver packages in under 30 minutes. It can carry packages weighing up to 5 lbs (2 kg).
The Chasing Gladius underwater drone is made for underwater photography and exploration. It can even collect trash with its arm attachment.
As you can see, the applications of drones are as varied as they are exciting. They are also quite useful. But this is not all, we have more drone applications for you.
Watch the video, to see them all.
