### AND Gate Using Diodes – Circuit Description:-
**Components Needed:-
-2 Diodes (for 2-input AND)
-1 Resistor (pull-down)
-DC Power Supply (e.g., 5V)
-Input switches
-multimeter
##Circuit Configuration:-
-The cathodes of the two diodes are connected to the two input lines: A and B.
-The anodes of both diodes are joined together and connected to the output point.
-A pull-down resistor is connected from the output point to positive connection of power supply'
-The output can be taken across this point.
### Working Principle:-
This configuration is based on the "diode logic", specifically Diode-Resistor Logic (DRL).
-When both inputs A and B are HIGH (logic 1), no current flows through the diodes (as they are reverse biased), so the output remains HIGH through the pull-up (or from the logic level inputs).
-If either A or B is LOW (logic 0), the corresponding diode becomes forward biased and conducts current, pulling the output LOW (logic 0).
So, output is HIGH only when both inputs are HIGH, which matches the truth table of an AND gate.

### Limitations:-
-Diode logic suffers from voltage drop (typically 0.7V for silicon diodes), which can affect signal levels.
-It is not suitable for large-scale integration**.
