Spanish Dance No. 2 (Oriental) by Enrique Granados, arranged for the ukulele

This week, I was introduced to the incredible Spanish composer Enrique Granados. Granados wrote a suite of beautiful Spanish dances originally for the piano, including this Spanish Dance No. 2 (Oriental). Many guitarists have arranged this piece for the classical guitar, and there are numerous virtuosic guitar interpretations on YouTube.

Unfortunately, I haven't found any such arrangement for the ukulele, nor any Youtube ukulele-ist who has played this song. What is an aspiring ukulele student supposed to do?! So I invented my own arrangement, *Waluigi cackle*!

Here is Granados's beautiful composition played shakily by me on a Cordoba Tenor 20TM-CE with low G tuning. I am not very skilled, so I recorded my baseline (an arpeggio chord progression) once on my iPhone, then re-recorded myself playing the melody on top of the initial recording. Who needs pedals when you’ve got ~ t e c h n o l o g y ~. Hopefully I will revisit this piece in a year when I am better at the ukulele...

Have a good week!
