Wool is born to be loved - video was made for The First European Wool Day celebrated in 9.4.2021. The organizator of the day was European Wool Exchange Foundation EWE.

This is story of the wool from birth of the lamb (od even mating of ewe and ram) to the final product in Romanov sheep farm Farma Tadići in Serbia.

Romanov sheep are more and more popular in the Balkans because of their fertility, but there is no tradition to use their quite a different wool. We in Farma Tadići try to find out what would be the best way to use the wool, which is interesting and beautiful in it's fifty shades of gray.

For now it is a small scale family project from shearing and sorting to washing, carding, felting and knitting - and learning all about the fibres that our sheep give twice a year. We want to promote wool that it wouldn’t become a waste, so we founded among other breeders an organization Sheep and Wool Serbia.

Wool is not made by a man, it is born and it´s a gift from a sheep. A precious gift that should be treaten with love.
