FEELS JUST LIKE THE U.S. (sometimes)
Amelia and JP VLOG 261: This Sunday in the life would seem normal to most people anywhere in the world. Days like this give you a glimpse into what life is like in other countries, and hopefully demonstrates that there are more similarities than differences.
Each year, Manta hosts an Ironman 70.3 competition with athletes from around the world who come here to swim in the ocean for 1.2 miles, cycle for 56 miles and run for 13.1 miles (a half marathon).
It's difficult to wrap your head around the physical fitness and stamina required to complete this race. We were really impressed with all the participants, especially those with physical disabilities.
If you're in Manta or Olón, we highly recommend South Indian Restaurant if you enjoy authentic Indian food. The recipes and flavors are just like what we ate on our visit to Kerala in southern India back in 2019. Here's the link to their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/South-Indian-Restaurant-686619538432600
