Hey Everyone, in this video we are taking a listen to one of our most popular drum kits. This is the Mapex Mars series kit, the particular one shown in this video is finished in Driftwood. A lot of our customers don't know that you can add extra toms to this series so for the video we are showing a 7 piece set up which is a standard 5 piece configuration with an extra floor tom and extra rack tom added. The Mars is a 100% Birch shell kit and is extremely well built and very well priced. For the video we left all the stock heads on the set showing you how the Mars kit sounds with the stock standard heads.

For Cymbals we have added a Paiste PST7 Cymbal set with 14" Hi-Hats, 16" & 18" Crash Cymbals and 20" Ride. PST7’s base is CuSn8 bronze which stems from the legendary 2002 series. The cymbals are lathed by Paiste’s Swiss hand craftsmen to achieve their distinctive traditional finish. The result of the precise Swiss manufacturing is a warm and clear overall sound.

Like with all our audio demos there is no limiting to enhance the dynamic response, no digital reverbs are used, the ambience is naturally captured with room mics. We recommend listening through headphones or speakers for the best detail.

The music used on this video is not a backing track. Rocky put the drums down first and the music was created and recorded afterwards, much like in a studio session to help demonstrate a more authentic feel.
