Calmet Services Fall 2017 Clean Ups

Calmet Services of the Harbor Area (Metropolitan Waste) hosts an annual clean up for the Lomita & the Following L.A. County Franchise Areas of La Ramba (San Pedro), Oceanview/Academy Hill (Palos Verdes), & West Carson. Lomita get's 2 clean up dates while the franchise areas get 1 clean up event & Free Bulky Item Pick Ups throughout the year.

Most of you already know that the older 1994 WhiteGMC WXLL Amrep's were retired last summer, so these 2006 Autocar WXLL Amrep HX-450 FL trucks are now the trucks for bulk. I remember seeing them around my Middle School collecting back in 2007 - 2009 when Lomita & the L.A. County franchise areas (Oceanview/Academy Hill, La Ramba) were still Manual Collected. West Carson was a BFI/AW route & open market with Waste Management north of Carson St until 2011.

I'm not going to say really that much of the video description because this video is long, but the areas & trucks used are in the video. I didn't film Academy Hill/Oceanview Collection because that area has no bus service on Weekends.
