The rent vs. buy decision can be a hard one, but after a decade of thinking about it, I think it can be a pretty simple 3-step process to arrive at your answer. I rented airplanes for a long time before buying my Cessna 182 in 2016, and I'm both glad that I rented when I did, and bought when I did!
