Episode 1 - Payments For Ecosystem Services
As part of the "Economics Applied - Climate Change in 5 Minutes or Less" series, Professor and Department Head Jennifer Alix-Garcia discusses her research on payments for environmental services (PES) programs that incentivize landowners to protect or improve natural resources. Specifically, her research is on payments to landowners by the Mexican government to conserve forests and prevent deforestation.
