Another big project from me. This time our task was to present two characters: one we like in a bad light and another one in a good light. I decided to use one of the classic couples from Dostoyevsky's novels.

*** *** ***

CHARACTER I LIKE: Katerina Verkhovtseva

Daughter of a general, a noble and good woman. During all the novel she suffers from her faithless husband - Dmitri, who falls in love with another one. Although she knows about the betrayal, still loves him and decides to stay his loyal friend forever.

However, Katerina's pride seems to take over her mind since she has known about Dmitri's accusation. It finally leads her to taking revenge on her "slave and enemy" - Katerina show to the court a letter from her husband where he swears to kill his father. She's even not sure if Dmitri is a real murderer but she gives her piece of evidence to save Dmitri's brother who takes the blame on himself. At the same time, Katya appeases her appetite for revenge as well.
CHARACTER I DON'T LIKE: Dmitri Karamazov

An impulsive, quick-tempered man, husband of Katerina Verkhovtseva. He adores his wife until he meets Grushen'ka and after one evening falls in love with her. He tries to hide his romance from Katya but she finds out the truth. Meanwhile, Dmitri leads a fight with his father - he's jealous of a relationship between Fyodor Pavlovitch and Grushen'ka and he's also disappointed with the money arrangement towards him the his father made. The young man wants even to kill him but when he's got a great opportunity to do that, he realizes it's wrong and runs away.

When officer accuse Dmitri of senior Kramazov's murder, he takes it as a penance for his life. He starts to see his faults and wants to become someone different than he was so far. Even if he's sentenced, it's going to be a start of new better life.

Enjoy! :)
