FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said agents were notified of the fall about 5 a.m. on Monday, April 27, and reached the vessel near Catalina around 8 a.m. A Carnival spokesperson confirmed the death and said Miller landed on a deck below after the fall. The female guest was traveling with family, who alerted the ship’s crew to the incident, according to Carnival. Miller’s city of residence was not disclosed.
