Wife Dead After Husband Dies In Road Accident | Bolangir News

A deeply tragic incident from Balangir, Odisha has shocked everyone after a married couple died within hours of each other.

The incident occurred at Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital, where a road accident victim, identified as Sebakar Ram Bag from Dumerbahal village, was brought in after being hit by an unknown vehicle on the Balangir–Sonepur NH.

Doctors declared him dead while undergoing treatment.

Upon hearing the news of her husband’s death, his wife, Padmini Bag, who was present at the hospital, reportedly climbed a staircase inside the hospital campus and jumped to her death.

She also died on the spot, turning a hospital visit into a heartbreaking double tragedy.

Police from Puintala have reached the spot and initiated an investigation into the incident.

Local administration has also provided financial assistance of ₹10,000 from the Red Cross fund to the bereaved family.
