Pandemic Heroes: Climbing the ladder

Rommel Jones spent over eight years as a relief orderly at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH). Today, he is an Infection Prevention and Control Assistant at the Harrison Point Isolation Facility, raising funds to study Infection Prevention Control at the University of the West Indies (UWI) in Jamaica.

It all began at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic when the 29-year-old was challenged to consider becoming a worker on the frontlines as an orderly at the isolation facility.
