RWBY: Qrow's Semblance Did Not Influence Clovers Death - Luck Semblances Explained

Qrow's semblance of Misfortune can cause many bad things to happen around him but the act that caused Clover's death was not influenced by Qrow's semblance, nor would having Good Fortune active have prevented Clover from dying. Luck semblances affect the probability of random chance associated with the outcomes of actions taken around or by the Semblance user and the actions Tyrian took didn't have much potential for a random outcome when he killed Clover.
