Why Phonological Awareness?

Explicit instruction in phonological awareness is critical for adult literacy learners developing their reading skills, whether they are English language learners or native English speakers.

In this webinar, Dianne Nichols, from the University of Delaware, will identify some specific sounds that often trip up adult learners adult learners, and then demonstrate a variety of multi-sensory teaching techniques tutors and teachers can use to develop these critical skills.
