Great horned Owl nest Montana~ Mom arrives home after a night on the hunt ~ May 5, 2022

The owls tagged the Hooties have been around for several years. They are seen at the Charlo Osprey site often at non breeding times. They have been successful parents over the years. This year they have two owlets who are looking very healthy and well fed. Feedings occur during the night time hunting hours as both parent and in particular Dad will bring food. Mom has an old eye injury to her right eye. It doesn't affect her hunting ability. She is very devoted to her offspring.
