Pipe dope on PVC threads.

I used PTFE pipe dope for PVC threaded pipe from ACE hardware. Seems to be good stuff. Extremely thick and goes on the threads well. Doesn't take too much either.
I installed these clear check valves for back-flow prevention into our well tank. One 2" output, and five 1"outputs for our compound. 5 HP, 3 phase well feeding a 250 gallon tank.

The well was installed on a little 5' x 5' slab. Decent well drillers, but not much for concrete work. Tore out the slab, poured a 10' x 12' and built a shed around the well. I wanted the well head inside the building. I know, I know. Will have to cut the roof to pull the pump and motor.

For the deck, I screwed in a 2' x 2' piece on the trusses above the well head. Will have to cut the shingles and under-layment, but just unscrew that section of decking to pull the pump.
