In this tutorial, we will learn to download and install selenium on windows and setup chrome driver in eclipse to write the first chrome browser automation script. I have explained the whole process step by step in an easy way. Please watch the complete video for a better understanding of base concepts.

Prerequisites:

1) Java ( v 8.0 or later version)
2) Eclipse IDE
3) Selenium Jar

Step 1: First we will download 'Selenium jar/supporting jar'.

Step 2: (Practical Session)
Objective: Now we will write out the first Script to open the chrome browser and navigate a website URL.

Note:

'Chrome web driver required to open a browser in Selenium, we have to download an executable file specific to that browser. ​
i) Create a java project and import selenium jars.
ii) download chrome driver exe.

​Important Note:
​Chrome driver version should match with your chrome browser
