Can I Shower with it? Testing a 30m Water Resistant Watch & Explaining ISO & IPX Waterproof Ratings

I soak a 30m water resistant watch in cold and then boiling water to see if it is truly waterproof. Does it break? Watch it and see! I also explain the water resistant and the IPXX ratings.

Please note, I have been informed that technically the 30m water resistant definition has changed such that you should be able to swim to a depth of 30m with such a watch. This new standard is referred to as ISO 22810:2010. However, I believe that many manufacturers, especially those based in China, are still following the old ISO 2281 standard. So you should check your item to see which ISO standard your watch or item meets.
