This video showcases Thorlabs' specialty optical fiber manufacturing capabilities.
Our state-of-the-art fiber manufacturing facility produces our extensive catalog offerings as well as customer specified fibers. We have the ability to fabricate multimode passive and active fibers that transmit in the UV through the MIR from materials such as silica, fluoride and doped glasses. UV and thermal curing capabilities allow for the application of acrylate, polyimide, polymer, teflon and silicone coatings. Our facility in Newton, NJ is ITAR-Qualified and experienced with university, industrial and government work. We have a full in-house design team and extensive metrology lab.
