Scaling with GCP Managed Instance Groups: Terraform & Packer Demo

In this video, we explore deploying Flask-based microservices and implementing auto-scaling solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), as part of our "Scaling in the Cloud" series:

Learn how to:

• Deploy Flask-based microservices on GCP Virtual Machines (VMs).
• Use Firestore as a document database to store microservice data.
• Create reusable VM Images of the deployed microservices using Packer.
• Configure a Managed Instance Group (MIG) with Terraform to enable dynamic scalability.
• Simulate real-world load to test auto-scaling and observe scaling events in action.
• Efficiently clean up resources by tearing down all infrastructure created during the process.

This video is Part 3 of the series: Scaling in the Cloud: AWS Auto Scaling, Azure VMSS, and GCP MIGs.
