Water Hyacinths - Eichhornia crassipes

Young water hyacinths starting to bloom, and given time can multiply into a cluster of plants. In countries where they have access to water or streams they can multiply and rapidly take over, if you let them.

If you are ingenious you can use the dry form in compost as fertilizer, or in Asia use the dry stems to make crafts. But do remember they can be quite invasive if left to do what they want. To propagate just divide and root, and they will be fine.
