Two Royal Mail workers in Glasgow have appeared in court accused of stealing around £750,000 from parcels containing cash, foreign currency and expensive mobile phones
Mehdi Raza, 38, and Zafran Mahmood, 34, allegedly targeted special delivery packages while working at a Royal Mail depot before prosecutors claim money was transferred overseas to Pakistan in an attempt to hide where it came from.
Court papers also allege false claims were made to banks to explain the source of the cash. Both men deny all charges.
