How To Graduate College WITHOUT Debt | How to Avoid Student Loans

College tuition and prices have drastically increased in recent years, making it harder for students to graduate college without taking on debt. There are things like scholarships and grants in order to help people pay for college, however I did not receive much from them. This is one of the reasons that I did not want to go out-of-state or even to my state university right after high school. I would have had to take out loans just to be able to cover the costs during my time in college.

I want to let others know that it is possible to go to college without taking on huge student loans. Since I wasn't granted many scholarships during college I spent a lot of my time outside of school working. I worked at a sushi place in order to get some free food while working and saving some money on food. Another thing that I did in order to save money is going to a community college first before going to a university. This alone saved me THOUSANDS of dollars. Going to a community college is far cheaper than going to a state or private university. The classes are basically the same and can transfer over when you are ready to get your bachelors degree. Another way that helped me pay for college was getting a higher paying job before transferring to a university. Having a higher paying job really helped with my ability to pay monthly school tuition without taking out debt.

There are many ways that you can save money and afford college if you are willing to do things a little differently than everyone else. You don’t need to go straight to a university and you don’t need to take out loans.
