Dino 246 & Ferrari F8 Tributo - Driven by passion
Many of us, as car enthusiasts, have a favourite brand. For me, Ferraris’ have always been special, and it has been an absolute privilege to have driven so many of them over the years. My personal passion began with the Dino, Ferrari’s first mid-engined road car, and culminates in the very latest V8 twin turbo charged F8 Tributo. Here we drive both. With some 50 years separating them they are very different in performance of course, but each equally exciting in their own way.
Supercars like the F8 Tributo have often been accused of being too fast for public roads. I don’t think so, that’s why in this video we explore the performance of the F8 Tributo in normal driving conditions, on the kind of roads that you and I would choose to enjoy a car like this. The handling and braking limits are so high on the Tributo that it is, by default, extremely safe with truly exploitable performance and let’s face it, it all boils down to the driver in the end, not the car.
We see so many of these road cars hurling around race circuits when they are test featured on film, but most of us do that rarely if at all, hence we try to focus more on the real road driving experience, which is where most owners spend their time in these cars.
I sincerely hope you enjoy this video as much as we did making it! Zebra Digital are the magic behind the camera, so a big shout to producer Ben Robinson, and cameramen Mike Hodder and Jeremy Belben for your great work. I’m just the front man!
