Family. That’s what you gain when you love someone deeply. People come into our lives. Sometimes they go and sometimes they stick it out. They see us through the good and bad. They see us at our best and worst and keep loving us. Over time they become family; a family that loves us fiercely cries with us in sympathy, and makes goofy faces with us when we’re feeling rambunctious. Dahna + Aidan make those qualities apparent. They’re in love. They’re best friends. They’re a family.

Dahna came into Aidan’s life during a trying time. She was a shoulder to lean on and a source of joy and happiness for A. D was falling in love with A and A’s children. Aidan put it best, “I think what really sold it for me was the way she cares for my children. She truly cares for them like they were her own children.” D quickly became someone that A not only wanted in his life but in his family’s life. When we meet the right person they have that effect. They don’t just make our lives better, they make everything better.

And on a summer day in Boston, they officially became a family. It was one of those New England summer days when everything is more colorful and saturated, the sun golden, and people idly milling about enjoying the fresh air. It was a perfect setting in the Boston Public Garden near the famed swan boats. It was while working those swan boats that A first heard about D from a friend. Little did he know how much of an impact she’d have on him.

A’s joyous Irish side and D’s bubbly Jewish side all came together and celebrated this couple and their love. As the sun went down, the music got going and the good times began. D + A + A’s children joined hands and danced. They smiled, laughed, and twirled. Because what was just solidified there that day was just that: a reason to dance. ✨
