This year, Raffles Maldives Meradhoo invites marine-life enthusiasts to join them in celebrating the healthy reefs of the Gaafu Alifu Atoll whilst marvelling at the sight of beautiful whale sharks from the comfort of a traditional Dhoni. The new experience will take guests into the depths of the warm Indian Ocean, ensuring sightings of the magnificent spotted sharks, boasting up to 12 metres in length.
During your relaxing stay at the twin-island resort, guests can embark on this 2-hour roundtrip that will have them indulging in the finest selection of canapes and champagne, whilst admiring what are, the largest fish in the world. Estimated to encounter up to three whale sharks, the Raffles marine-life experts will be on-hand to well-equant guests with the beautiful creatures, as well as identify passing sea life – including turtles, dolphins, and manta rays, all rich in the vast expanse of ocean.
