The histogram!! one of the most powerful tools you NEED to learn in photography!! ESPECIALLY if you're a beginner at photography and just learning the basics!

In this mini RANT! haha, I address some major frustrations I have with photographers, in particular on youtube, telling people how a histogram should look!

While it's vital you know how YOUR histogram should look for each image you take, there ISNT a specific way a histogram 'should' look.. NOT like this perfect 'lump' people keep saying you should have!

Learning how to use the histogram is one of the fastest ways to improve your photography! Just like the exposure triangle (to be debated as to whether it's a triangle or not) Your images are determined by the amount of light that hits your sensor!

The histogram is vital for measuring how much light is getting to your sensor! FAR more accurate than using the LCD or EVF. Ok hope this was helpful.. people need to stop telling people wrong! I hope you enjoy the video! Do check out my F/8 street photography magazine here:
