In this week's video, you will get to see what a day of seeding on our Montana heritage farm is like. We have two drills and you will get to see both of them. A drill is what farmers use to plant their seed in the ground. We use direct drills. You will get to watch me go on a ride in our Case drill (the red one). Dan who was our combine operator in my harvest videos is operating the drill today. We talk about lots of interesting topics about seeding and how equiptment has evolved over the years. In our drills we have auto steer and lots of fun technology! It is always great to see how the knew technology works. If you watched my harvest videos where I drive my 9610 you'll know I absolutely love it but, it doesn't have very much technology. You will also get to see us fill our huge John Deere's seeder's compartments with fertilizer. I take you on tour of our John Deere seeder's tractor cab. Thank you so much for watching. My Story…
Hello. My name is Kate Stephens, and I am a 16-year-old 4th generation farmer. My family has been farming wheat in north-central Montana since my great grandfather immigrated from Denmark in 1912 and homesteaded our land. My family has been teaching me about farming since I was two years old. I run one of the combines on the farm at harvest. I believe that it is important for everyone to know where their food comes from and the families who produce it. I love our farm, and I hope that my Farm to Fashion and Farm to Table products can help educate people about where their food comes from in a fun way. That is how Kate's Ag became a reality. I hope you love my products as much as I do because this is an extension of our farm and the grains we have been growing to feed other families for over one hundred years.
