I traded my diesel truck for a 2022 Rivian R1T… but can it actually do truck things?

Today we’re putting it to the test by towing a heavy trailer AND a car to see if this electric truck is the real deal — or a huge mistake.

On paper, the Rivian R1T is insanely powerful… but towing is where EVs usually fall apart. Range drops, charging gets complicated, and real-world performance can be VERY different from what manufacturers claim.
