♦ Sims 1 - Sims 2 - Sims 3 - Sims 4 : Unique Deaths - Evolution

Hey everyone, how's this whole 2020 thing treating you? Hope you're all staying safe and washing your hands! Here's a video showcasing all of the unique deaths in The Sims for PC. I was planning on waiting for Sims 4 to finish but it seems to have slowed down for now and I find it interesting how now's a great time to launch games, how well animal crossing's been doing (which I'm currently playing lol)

Anyways, there's no much to say about this topic, death is probably one of my favorite aspects of The Sims for just how creative they are with it, we go from hunger all the way down to the wackiest deaths like flies, curses, motherplants!

My opinion?

Sims 1 is short in deaths with just 2 and they're fairly hard, in Sims 1 fashion, I had to make like 3 toads before the dragon decided to eat them so they're not as deadly, and the skydiving simulator is something that can only happen on purpose.

Sims 2 has got some interesting ones, one of my favorites will always be flies, just for how random and scary it is (altho I've never gotten to this death without cheats) I'm not a fan of the ones where basically the Sim dies because their needs were low and Sims 2 has lots of those, even the other deaths like sack of money, sickness, fright, etc , won't kill them unless their needs are low.

Sims 3 has some great variety, almost every pack has at least 1 unique death, and they get pretty creative, from eating some strange jelly-beans all the way to a mummy's curse, turning into gold or just stop existing for some glitch in time! I like how consequential the game is.

Sims 4 also has interesting deaths, the emotion driven deaths like cardiac explosion, mortification and even hysteria, they're also some of my favorite deaths just for how ridiculous they are and how they make their emotion system something to be managed. Their other deaths are good as well, I thought it'd take me forever to die of puffer fish, same with steam but I did both on the first try so it's not as hard to die as I first thought.

So for me, all of them did a great job but specially Sims 3 and 4, they keep their deaths unique and fun, altho, some of those deaths were NOT easy to get to, but it's not like I dislike hard deaths, after all, killing your sims should never be the point, right?
