The Partridge kids (Danny Bonaduce, Jeremy Gelbwaks and Suzanne Crough) buy a couple of hamsters and somehow convince their mom (Shirley Jones) to keep them, at least for a while.

From Season 2, Episode 9 'A Tale of Two Hamsters' - Danny and the two other younger children tell Shirley they have decided to go in the hamster business. When the two hamsters multiply with their offspring, the Partridges have to take them on tour so they can feed and take care of them.
