Who's Lying? Social Realism, Socialist Realism and Propaganda
This video examines the ability of images to manipulate. Using a sampling of examples from American Social Realism, Soviet and Chinese Socialist Realism, and propaganda posters from WWII questions are raised about the degree of difference between documentation and persuasion in art.
