Meat Goat Selection

Dr. Dave Sparks OSU Area Food/Animal Quality and Health Specialist leads an educational session about the characteristics producers should be looking for when operating a commercial meat goat operation. Selection criteria discussed includes kids produced, udder conformation, overall productivity, health concerns, and production record keeping. This is one of the educational sessions taught during the OSU Meat Goat Boot Camp.
