“Inspiración Del Río” is an original arrangement based on soloistic ideas by trumpeter Bill Chase from a song titled “Invitation to a River.” One of his iconic solos has been in my thoughts ever since I first heard his recording in my young trumpeting days. During this pandemic(and all this free time) I decide to brush up on my arranging skills. Weeks ago this Chase solo came to mind (as it always does and always will) so I decided to do something about it and give myself a great challenge. I arranged this piece for 10 trumpets, 7 flugelhorns and Palmas(Hand clapping). All performed on and written for 4 valve trumpets and flugelhorns from Stomvi. I really hope you enjoy.
