Minnie Driver: “There Is No Better Time” for Stories of Powerful Women | The Faithful Premiere

At the premiere of The Faithful: Women of the Bible, Minnie Driver reflects on the power of telling stories about women who stand up to power — and why now is the perfect moment to do so.

Driver shares how meaningful it was to explore these Old Testament stories from a new perspective:
“To suddenly see this through the eyes of the matriarchs — it was wonderful.”

She also praises her on-screen Abraham, Jeffrey Donovan, calling him “such a good actor” and “such a good human."

Plot: The Faithful: Women of the Bible showcases a faithful dramatisation of the Book of Genesis as told through the eyes of the courageous and passionate, yet flawed women whose descendants would shape the future of faith as we know it today. Told through the lens of five of the Old Testament’s most legendary women: Sarah (Minnie Driver) and her maidservant Hagar (Natacha Karam), Sarah’s great-niece Rebekah (Alexa Davalos), and Rebekah’s nieces, sisters Leah (Millie Brady) and Rachel (Blu Hunt).

The new biblical epic series will premiere March 22 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox
