Oxford study: Long-term childhood poverty in Britain rose sharply after austerity reforms

NEW: More than 1 in 5 children in Britain now experience poverty for at least half of their childhood.

New research from Oxford’s Department of Social Policy and Intervention shows long-term child poverty has risen sharply among children born after 2013, following austerity-era welfare reforms.
