Empowering Agri-tech via Big Data analytics on supercomputers

Precision Agriculture and Precision Livestock Farming are assisting in optimising agricultural and livestock production and minimising waste and costs. Sensors on fields and crops provide granular data points on soil conditions. Drones can patrol fields and alert farmers to crop ripeness or potential problems. Satellites provide a holistic view of the farm. The CYBELE project is generating the High Performance Computing infrastructure to enable analysis and fusion of Big Data to revolutionise the Agri-tech sector.
