Removing Kitten Placentas - Momma Cat Abandoned Her Kittens

A neighborhood mother cat gave birth to three kittens outside my backdoor and summarily abandoned them. Normally the mom will take care of the placenta, as well as other cleaning duties.

Before this video I had already cleaned the kittens with a warm rag. I boiled the string and scissors to sterilize them as much as I could. I tied the strings around the umbilical cord about 1" from the body and snipped the placenta off.
