Many air forces around the globe are built around Soviet and -made aircraft or their derivatives. This is likely to be true for decades to come as introducing the next-gen of aircraft and modernizing its existing fleet of soviet era jets.

These aircraft are powered by the most advanced engines and are packed with next-gen sensors and weaponry. Some of these jets are considered superior to their western adversaries and others on par. So without further ado let’s check out the list of 5 best Fighter Aircraft.

5. SU-30 (Flanker)
The aircraft is powered by 2 afterburning turbofan engines producing 55,120 pounds of thrust combined. These engines can push the aircraft at a maximum speed of Mach 2. With a maximum range of 1,900mi, this aircraft can perform combat operations within a radius of 800mi. It has a climb rate of 755 ft/sec and can reach a maximum altitude of 56,800ft. Outfitted with 12 hardpoints, the jet can hold a mix of air-to-air, air-to-ground, and a wide range of smart weaponry.

4. SU-34 (Fullback)
The aircraft is powered by a pair of turbofan engines capable of generating 60,000 pounds of thrust combined. With the help of these engines, the jet can gain a top speed of 1,400mph. Depending on the type of mission and payload, the ferry range and combat radius of the aircraft are 2,800mi and 620mi respectively. The SU-34 has a service ceiling of 56,000 ft. The jet is equipped with 12 hardpoints with payload capacity of 21,600lb.

3. MIG-35 (Fulcrum F)
The MIG-35 is powered by two turbofan engines, which can produce 39,800 pounds of thrust combined. The new engines are smokeless and include systems that reduce infrared and optical visibility. The engines can also be fitted with thrust vectoring nozzles for increased maneuverability. The aircraft has the ability to travel at a maximum speed of Mach 2.25. Depending on the payload, the jet has the ferry range and the combat radius of 1,900mi and 620mi respectively. The MIG-35 can climb at the rate of 1083 ft/sec and can reach a maxim altitude of 52,000ft. The aircraft is equipped with 9 weapon stations with provisions to carry combinations of rockets, missiles, and bombs.

2. SU-35 (Flanker E)
The SU-35 is outfitted with a pair of afterburning turbofan engines capable of producing 64,000 pounds of thrust combined. The aircraft has the ability to travel at a maximum speed of Mach 2.25. With two external fuel tanks, the jet can travel as far as 2800mi. The aircraft can conduct combat operations within a radius of 990mi. SU-35 can climb at a rate of 919 ft/sec and can reach a maximum altitude of 59,000ft. With 12 hardpoints, the aircraft can carry a maximum payload of 17630Ib.

1. SU-57 (Felon)
The SU-57 is powered by a pair of thrust vectoring turbofan engines, which can produce 79,400 pounds of thrust with full afterburner. The jet has a top speed of Mach 2 and can supercruise at Mach 1.6. The aircraft has a maximum range of 2200mi and can perform combat operations with a radius of 1056mi. It can climb at a rate of 1148 ft/sec and can reach a maximum altitude of 66,000ft. The jet has two main internal weapon bays and two smaller ones. The aircraft is expected to carry four B.V.R. missiles and two short-range missiles. The main weapon bay can also accommodate air-to-ground missiles and precision bombs. For missions that don't require stealth, the jet can also carry six externally mounted array of weaponry. There is a possibility of installation of supersonic cruise missiles as well.
