*Update: I've been told by many sources including 3M that the 7093 & 6035 filters will 'last through the pandemic'. It's a bit vague but interpret that however you may.*
Respirators are the highest grade of masks a consumer can get but they are hard to obtain nowadays. If you do own one and cannot buy any filters, you can consider 3D printing your own (or buying some) custom made filter holders. You would also need to insert your own filter into the holder such as any BFE/VFE/PFE 95% or higher rated fabric. As last resort you could also use kitchen towel or cotton fabric. See here for more details on that: https://smartairfilters.com/en/blog/best-materials-make-diy-face-mask-virus/
Today on Amazon all 3M masks and filters are not available to ordinary consumers. Ebay does have some available but a quick look shows a lot of price gouging.
The 3D filter holders I'm looking at is provided by Neo Chan, a Hong Kong YouTuber and 3D print entrepreneur. Most 3M or custom 3D filter designs I've seen have their openings facing outwards making it vulnerable to direct contact from droplets and particles. Neo's design is unique in that it helps better prevent that from happening. Yet it also provides suitable airflow. He has kindly offered his design free for anyone but also urges you not to sell for profit. His recent videos are in Cantonese only so I wanted to make a complementary video in English showcasing his designs. Visit him here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxMF_Tp9VxRDRbGElqosk_Q

Disclaimer:
I am absolutely not a doctor nor work in the medical field. All opinions are my own and I am not endorsed by any one or organisation. Face masks do not give you 100% protection from infection and you should continue to follow local government advice.
