Lixin Fu Injured in Accident on North Midkiff Road in Midland

Midland, TX — June 12, 2026: Authorities said 59-year-old Lixin Fu was seriously injured in an accident at about 12:50 a.m. at the intersection of North Midkiff Road and West Loop 250 North. According to a preliminary accident report, a southbound GMC Sierra allegedly failed to yield while making a right turn at a red light and collided with Fu's westbound 2017 Nissan Altima. Reports indicate the GMC driver was not injured and was charged with driving while intoxicated following the collision. Additional information has not been released by authorities. The incident remains under investigation.
