Brandon Wright Interrogation — The Man Who Confessed to a 22-Year-Old Murder Nobody Was Solving

In August 1994, Brandon Wright — homeless, strung out on
methamphetamine, and starving — broke into a trailer in
Kelso, Washington looking for food. The owner came home.
Wright grabbed a hammer, then a knife. Robert Bushey was
stabbed 53 times.

Wright stole his car, drove to Portland, and tried to kill
himself from guilt. He survived. No one suspected him. The
case went cold. And for 22 years, Brandon Wright said nothing.

Then, on Easter Sunday 2016, he walked into a police station
and asked to confess.

This video is a full breakdown of Brandon Wright's police
interrogation — detectives who traveled from Kelso, Washington
to Utah to hear a confession from a man who was never once
a suspect, had never been questioned, and who came forward
with no deal, no lawyer, and no reason beyond a guilt that
had followed him for two decades.

Criminologists say voluntary confessions in cold cases
this old are extremely rare. What drove Brandon Wright
back after 22 years of silence isn't fully answerable —
but the interrogation comes as close as anything ever will.
