Joe Biden likely to be 'persuaded' to step down in the end
Former foreign minister Alexander Downer has speculated that US President Joe Biden will likely be "persuaded to step down" following his trainwreck performance last week.
"I think Joe Biden in the end will be persuaded to stand down," Mr Downer said.
"What they’ll do to find another candidate is a very open question, they won't want Kamala Harris because she herself is very unpopular and will make a bad candidate."
