Ruston & Hornsby Diesels at Quincey's Pumping Station

One of the pair of Ruston & Hornsby 9XHRC diesels running at Quincey's (AKA Thorpe Culvert) Pumping Station.

Originally installed in 1938, they worked until the 1970s. In the 1990s Lincolnshire Oil Engine Club were invited to restore and maintain them. On odd occasions, during extreme weather or when the electric pumps fail, they are still called on to drain areas of the fens to the north of Boston in Lincolnshire.
