BLACKMOUTH | Washington's Winter Salmon!

In this episode I show you how to catch Blackmouth Salmon in Puget Sound. Join me on a day of boating and trolling for Salmon with one surprise catch, and as always removing garbage from the waters. I learned that Salmon fishing by yourself on a boat has a challenge: measuring your fish without brining it on the boat! WDFW regulations mention not to bring any Salmon that is not legal to keep into the boat. The problem is, that in order to find out if a Blackmouth is legal, you have to measure it! This proved hard to do by myself, so I had to come up with a way to quickly and safely measure the fish outside of the boat. As always, we learn from our mistakes but always need to try and be proactive to protect our wildlife & resources.
